Wink My choice of operating systems
I personally believe that there are tools that are best suited to a situation. I did apply this in using a Linux distribution. For servers I like to use CentOS because it is a derivative from Redhat Enterprise Linux distribution and for me is a very stable release. For desktop operating system I may use ubuntu or PCLinuxOS because both are easy to use even for beginners. By the way I prefer OpenBSD/FreeBSD for firewall Big Grin.

Well that's my current choice of operating systems that suite my purposes.

What might be yours?

RE: My choice of operating systems
I think there is not the real best about different linux distro but considering there are much and deals with different use i think you must consider which one is useful for you!
Normally debian and derivates are user-friendly good for a personal use but not only...other distro as suse, redhat are suitable for business needs and slackware for programmers and linux enthusiasts...there are also much more..so normally you choose and proof which one is really for you!!Wink

Linux, Macintosh doesn't support most of the games played nowadays but only for servers. Tongue

I agree that windows is good for gaming and Linux have yet to improve more. You may use wine and its derivatives 1. codeweavers crossover products and 2. transgaming product currently cedega . You may also take a look at reactos which is written from scratch and aims to be binary compatible to Windows® XP/2003.

Take a look on these suggestions and I hope you can see a more wider view on the current gaming and computing environment.

Hope this helps.
